there's obviously nothing cool about locking yourself out (or "in" in my case) of your apartment, but after hearing so many people sing Dave praises, i was secretly excited to have to call on him to help me out. i was attempting to leave my apartment on saturday morning only to discover that my doorknob wouldn't turn and i was locked inside of my apartment. neat. Dave was there quickly and knew exactly what the problem was. he swapped out an old part, told me a couple funny stories and then was on his way. everyone in nyc should have his number saved in their phone since it's only a matter of time before any one of us will need him and it's so nice to have a reliable go-to for something like this. I'd like to write this review, not for services rendered; but, rather for excellent customer service, which we all know is a rarity these days. I spoke with Paul extensively about replacing a lock, and even exchanged picture messages (upon his suggestion) so that he could better assess my situation. He not only educated me on the different types of locks/security devices; but, also offered to walk me through the purchase and replacement, which he suggested I do myself. Wait, what? A business owner who encourages a DIY project, so that I can keep some money in my pocket? Courtesy, professionalism and expertise all wrapped in one. Yeah, he has this field on lock. Moving into a new apartment always seems to be such a feat, but Brighton Lock And Key made it more than simple. Tech arrived ahead of schedule and with everything I needed. I can't recommend this Brighton Lock And Key enough. Jay is honest and affordable about his pricing, prompt to appointments, intelligent, fun to chat with while he works, and you can just tell is a sincere, nice, really good guy. He's one of the few businesses I recommend without hesitation and sometimes without even prompting to anyone I know who's just moved into a new place or is having any kind of lock issue. He's done two units and the main doors in my building so far, and is the go-to guy for me with any lock / door / security issues.

FANTASTIC LOCKSMITH SERVICE AND PRICES!! AMAZING! Like everyone else online, Edwardo came to the rescue and and I thought he was exceptional. I locked myself out of an office at work. When I called him for a quote, he asked that I take a picture of the lock and door and text it to him so he could assess the situation and call me back. WOW. A locksmith who receives texts? I was impressed with just that! He called me back within minutes. Even though it was a hardcore MultiTLock, he said he'd tried to do it for the minimal cost of $59 and try to do as little damage to the lock and the door as possible so that I could not incur more costs.
