Beginning in 2002, we kept adding more sales reps, which substantially increased business, but at the same time increased problems.
If a sales rep didn’t make a sale, they made no money.
To overcome that, like EVERY commissioned sales rep in this industry, they would tell the customer whatever they wanted to hear.
Thus more orders, more commissions, bigger bottom line, and COMPLAINTS.

Our ratings went down and the aggravation level went up.
In 2008, after the only ethical sales rep I had decided to leave and start his own business, I decided to close the office, and operate on my own.
While sales went down, my quality of life improved.
Working on my own there was no way I could generate the income I was making from having six sales reps.
I soon realized that peace of mind was more important than the almighty dollar.
So what do I do that’s different from the others?
I don’t screen calls.
I respond to voicemail and emails.
I explain how car shipping works.
I quote legitimate prices.
Most importantly, if when a truck books your order, they tell us they need more money, we reduce our part to give them the higher amount.
That’s why about 60% of my business is repeats and referrals.
