I just moved to a new place and I noticed that previous tenant had been coming back to get his mail. So I figured why not change the mailbox lock and also get the locks to my door re-keyed. I called New Haven Locksmith Store today to have some locks re-keyed. I'm glad I called. They had someone close by named Allen who was great. He showed up at the time I requested with only about 2 hour notice.He was able to re-key all seven locks in about 40 minutes. All for $100 with the 2 keys. Nobody's perfect, but the key is to acknowledge mistakes and do something to make it right. There was a mix-up in the day of my appointment for a new lock, so Danny came that evening instead of the morning and gave me 50% off. He also told me the lock mechanism itself was perfectly solid and that rather than an extra lock, I only needed a new cylinder for security. That goes to show how honest he is because it meant it was cheaper for me and less money in his pockets. To add to all that, Danny is a super nice guy and was even great with my barky dog. In fact, when I asked if he accepted tips, he told me he donates them to Animal Haven. Awesome! You've really got to be good to mix-up the appointment and yet still get 5 stars. New Haven Locksmith Store is that good! Completely worth it, and I'm guessing that the mix-up was an exception to the rule. Now I've got a fancy pick-resistant lock, more sense of security, and one of the most pleasant experiences with a New Haven, CT company ever.
