A lot of people had access to my keys and I had to rekey the locks frequently. A technician from a local store suggested that I buy a DIY rekeyable lock to save money – and it was the biggest mistake I made. My house was broken into soon thereafter and I lost a lot of valuables. I hired San Diego Star Locksmith to consult. According to Joe, such rekeyable locks don’t stand a chance against burglars. His suggestion: get a keypad lock, and share the code with those you need to provide access to. Wish I had hired them earlier and received this excellent advice! San Diego Star Locksmith was great! I called him in the morning and he was able to come to our location the same day to help us. We have had a broken door knob for months and a terrible Super that keeps "fixing" it. After my fifth time that the doorknob fell out, I decided to contact Danny after all his great reviews online. And he lived up to them all! Upon calling him, he asked me to send him a picture of the doorknob, explaining that many of the doorknobs in San Diego , CA are old and he may not have the right parts for them (very true). He advised me that if he didn't think he could fix it he would refer us to someone else in the area. I found this to be very honest and helpful. Luckily, he was able to help us!
