Based on Company glowing reviews, I decided to call Central Locksmith Store after an unfortunate incident with my foot and a doorknob (you read that correctly -- it's a long story). Erick is the third locksmith I've dealt with here in Duarte, CA --- and easily the coolest. His price estimates are far lower than the others I've seen. So what's the catch? There wasn't. He was in and out in within 20 minutes. And in the end, he reassured me that the whole-foot-on-the-doorknob thing is more common than one would think.

When I first saw the millions of 5-star reviews I thought "no way". But..WAY. John was friendly and funny on the phone making the appointment, showed up exactly when he said he would, did an awesome job in no time at all, and it cost exactly what he quoted me over the phone. John is a really cool guy, explained what he was doing, and put me totally at ease. Another 5 star review for these guys... locked ourselves out of a friend's apartment in Duarte, CA that we were staying at. Luckily with Online on my smartphone I was able to see what consistently good service these guys provide and gave them a call. Dave came along within an hour (only reason it took a while was due to the bad weather), and had us inside within 5 mins. The locks on the door seemed quite stubborn but Dave seemed quite the expert! I would, and have, recommend Central Locksmith Store to anyone looking for a locksmith. Shon come the day after my inquiry to change our lock. He was very knowledgeable, giving us an overview on what the existing lock was like, etc. He even recommended a cheaper service that what I initially called him for after looking at our lock. Service was very quick, and he left everything clean and tidied up. Didn't rush us through or seem hurried, chatted with us throughout the entire install, even recommending a couple of great pizza spots in our neighborhood. It felt great working with someone who was friendly and didn't try to cheap us out of our money!
