We had a small bathroom remodel planned and met with Hunter Doherty, the owner of the company. He gave us his card which states he is licensed and insured but there is nothing to confirm this information (unfortunately found out too late). His workers are good but he is a liar and very incompetent. We had issue after issue, where he made claims that were not only outright lies, but we had texts where he contradicted himself time and again. When we pointed this out to him he would just lie more. The last straw was when the countertop in our bathroom was measured wrong (Hunter took ALL measurements) and he instructed his workers to cut into our door jamb to make it fit. When we told him this was unacceptable he stated (as he did all along with anything we questioned) that this was "standard procedure". Knowing it was not, we contacted other contractors and sent photos of the work and confirmed Hunter was either ignorant or lying again. Only when we told him if we had to we would involve other contractors and a lawyer did he do the right thing and fix it-and sadly, the idea for the "fix"came from us, not him. Hunter drives the projects and tells his workers what to do and he lacks the basic knowledge, as well as the ability to communicate with his clients. Instead of admitting mistakes or explaining delays, he lied and made what he said would be a two week project into a six week project. Stay away from his company at all costs.
