We purchased a home that was a flip from this business and there were many issues not fully disclosed, let alone covered up by poor workmanship. We have since found that the foundation was sinking, in which they were advised of this, and chose to put a Band-Aid on the issue and surface it to us as a warrantable issue and had been addressed, without fully disclosing the issue. We were told all proper permits for work that they had performed were pulled, and they were not. Permits are the responsibility of the owner, not the company performing the work. We have found that we have leaks near the windows, which caused consequential damage in drywall and insulation in our living room, only discovered due to ice damming, however there is evidence of prior leaking that was painted over and not disclosed.
When we sent a letter to bring them to the table for negotiation, they replied with excuses, that did not address the original claims. We have been left paying a high price for the house and over $30,000 in repair costs, for a house that will never appraise for the amount we have invested. Only to be left with a feeling of fraud and the thoughts that we could have looked at houses in a higher price range, that we did not want to initially pay.
