Rick grew up in a small community in Maryland where he was active in Boy Scouts and where he learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps where he studied aviation electronics. He entered into the financial services field in 2001 as an independent financial services agent. In 2003, he served as the New Business and Underwriting Director for a leading insurance brokerage in California where he assisted in implementing estate planning and personal life insurance plans. He has a deep understanding of the solutions he provides and how they protect families financially. He was married in 1990 to his wife Michelle and has two children. They reside in Vista, CA and are active in various not-profit organizations and community projects.
