Service was great! I figured they might take hours to reach, since my home was located far from the heart of Howell. Nevertheless, a locksmith from Howell Locksmith Store turned up at my doorstep in twenty minutes. Eric worked entirely out of his mobile workshop, and managed to make the copy of keys I needed. Howell Locksmith Store has a 5-star rating for a reason. I called them this morning to rekey two doors in my house, and they were able to send a locksmith within the hour. The person answering the phone was very polite and helpful, and it was very easy to set up my appointment and get my questions answered. John was the locksmith that arrived, and he was polite, knowledgable, and worked very quickly and efficiently. Seriously, this was absolutely a five-star experience. After losing my key for like the umpteenth time, I decided it was time I stopped paying up for copy keys and do something about it. Besides, it wasn’t safe, as my neighbor knowingly pointed out! What if it falls into the wrong hands? Well, I didn’t wanna end up inviting a stranger to my place to do away with my stuff. I called Gary up on 732-366-9364 and he was just so understanding! I thought rekeying was a good option, but Gary had other plans. Based on my record of losing keys, he said I’d probably lose them again and end up needing his service. Instead, he suggested I get an electronic lock installed that opened with a passcode. The idea instantly appealed to me - remembering a code did seem easier than remembering where I misplaced my keys! It was the cost that worried me. Gary put me at ease and made me an offer I just couldn’t refuse! I still can’t believe how less it had all cost me. No more lost keys! The lock seemed custom-made just for me! I just moved to a new place and I noticed that previous tenant had been coming back to get his mail. So I figured why not change the mailbox lock and also get the locks to my door re-keyed. The mailbox lock was easy to swap out by myself. But for the re-keying I needed a pro. I checked Online and the only one I found around me with reputable ratings was Howell Locksmith Store. They're based in Howell, NJ. I called in the morning while waiting for cable guy (who was late as expected) and sure enough they had availability for late afternoon and gave me a fixed price for the job. Dave said he could be there around 5:30 or 6. Fine by me. I get a call from Dave at 4:30 saying he can make it even earlier. Great!!! He shows up at 4:45. The work was quick despite problems with my fancy Omnia locks. He gets the job done and I'm good to go. He even grinded the deadbolt hole to make the lock easier to turn. Great service and I'll be sure to contact them anytime for any locksmith services.
