Wayne is an amazing man with a huge heart and a gentle soul. I have been very blessed to have him for a dad. I know that he misses Mom something terrible. They were together for 68 years. I know he feels some guilt over not being there because I feel the same, but there wouldn't have been anything either of us could have done. No one could. She had a massive catastrophic cardiac event. I even had the interventional cardiologist that I work with look at all of her scans and they have reassured me multiple times that there wouldn't have been anything they could have done if they'd been sitting right next to her when it happened. That's still hard to take. I do thank God every day that she didn't have to suffer. It was a hard 18 hours for Dad as he wouldn't leave her bedside. I am glad that he has opened up to the sitters because he is a man of few words and he doesn't talk much to anyone. I tried back in March when he was with me for a week to get him to talk about Mom's death a little and he just wouldn't go there. I can't thank you enough for all that you are doing for us. I really believe you may be an angel.
