I got locked out of my apartment in the middle of the night with no phone or anything on me. I had a local business call a New York General Locksmith for me - unfortunately, that locksmith was online for someone else to replace the cylinder, and that's how I found New York General Locksmith ! Nobody's perfect, but the key is to acknowledge mistakes and do something to make it right. There was a mix-up in the day of my appointment for a new lock, so Danny came that evening instead of the morning and gave me 50% off. He also told me the lock mechanism itself was perfectly solid and that rather than an extra lock, I only needed a new cylinder for security. That goes to show how honest he is because it meant it was cheaper for me and less money in his pockets. To add to all that, Danny is a super nice guy and was even great with my barky dog. In fact, when I asked if he accepted tips, he told me he donates them to Animal Haven. Awesome! You've really got to be good to mix-up the appointment and yet still get 5 stars. New York General Locksmith is that good! Completely worth it, and I'm guessing that the mix-up was an exception to the rule. Now I've got a fancy pick-resistant lock, more sense of security, and one of the most pleasant experiences with a New York, NY company ever. I can imagine in a lockout situation they would also add a sense of relief to a highly stressful situation. Highly, highly recommended!

Great job from <1>!! So, I carried out some research (online, calling locksmiths, asking friends etc) and chose <1>. Here’s why: 1) Pricing seemed great and they did not have any hidden charges 2) They offered 24/7 service in <5> I worked odd-shifts and was only available at home after 3:00 am. <1> fit the bill since it seemed like they could get there when I needed it without charging extra. I have to concur with all the other positive reviews. I inquired online with three locksmiths on a lazy sunday because I was not really in a rush. New York General Locksmith not only responded in 15 minutes with an exact quote but he arrived on time for my appointment the next day and got me back into my mailbox. Great experience from start to finish. Quick communication over email, arrived on time, great price. Service was completed in under 10 minutes. Several payment options were available which was great because who carries cash anymore!?
