Great job by Billy Clark's Pump & Well Servive, and fast-- what happened: Ants short-circuited well pump switch & needed replacement (Last time a long while back: We moved in to house and needed a pump installed to existing well.) RESULTS: Both times, Billy Clark (and sometimes his crew, as needed) were fast, knowledgeable, honest, and-- to prove that last part-- reasonably priced. Both times their installation (Last time) and replacement (This time) worked just fine. Last time, power company had power surges due to bad grounding which caused unequal loading issues, and paid for replacement, but Billy and crew made good at very reasonable rates, and both service calls (Both for the new well hookup and this recent call) were fast, effective, courteous, and reasonably priced: AND-- MOST-IMPORTANTLY-- worked just fine (other than the power surge-- which was NOT well company's fault). I know enough about wells and electrical & mechanical things to know that they treated us fairly. Yeah, I'm glad to write a review for good techs. Would use again and recommend. I had my well go out at about 6pm, and called around, Clark's was the only company that would come out after hours. When they got here, the tech checked everything and diagnosed a fault with my control box fairly quickly and popped on a new one. Bam! It worked! This is sadly where a pleasant experience went awry. The tech told it me it was $75 to come out after hours (which is fine, I can understand that) but then also charged me $275 for the part itself. It felt a little high, bit I was without water and that was unacceptable, so I paid over the phone to Mr. Clark and his technician gave me a receipt. So later on, out of curiosity I set to google to check on the pricing of this model. $48. There is no justification for an upcharge 5x what the part is sold on the common market for. I decided a moment ago to confrony Mr. Clark about a d his excuse is that he was not aware that the part was online at that price and his distributors charge him $120 for the part (which is still an unacceptable upcharge). I then look into these reviews and shame on me. He has had similar issues with price gouging in the past. Mr. Clark, when you read this, please rest assured that I wish for you to keep the $350 you stole from me, as with your dishonest business practices, I am sure you will need it to feed your family.
