In 1968 the company was brought to Florida and, as in New York, became well known. It successfully accomplished such demolitions as imploding the Martinique Hotel in North Miami Beach, and handled the demolition of numerous airport buildings and runways in what is now the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Richard A. Hamann, grandson of Anthony Russo, Sr., became the third-generation demolition contractor in 1985, and the business has continued to flourish.
