So, I needed a new lock. After enquiring in several stores, I finally struck a good bargain down at a hardware shop. But what came after was something I didn’t anticipate! I’ve attempted lock installations on my windows a couple of times, and was confident I could nail this one too. An hour later, as I looked down at the now-completely-ruined-lock, it was clear that I shouldn’t have been this over-confident at my abilities. Somehow, the replacement key I’d got managed to break in about two weeks. The worst part was that it just didn’t break at some random place, it broke inside the lock. So now there were pieces of the key stuck in the lock which made it impossible for me to operate it with the spare I had. I called Neighborhood Locksmith Services on 321-323-1081! Apparently, such stores use low-grade material and improper techniques to cut keys, hence, the absurdly short life. David got a new key made right there and I could definitely make out the difference in terms of quality. To my surprise, all this cost me less than what I’d paid at the store….
