I'm a Stanford GSB student who moved into a 801 Middlefield Rd unit managed by Gibson Portfolio Management and Rosemary Gibson. While we were away on winter vacation, the bathroom flooded because of a drainage issue from the apartment above causing mold in the apartment on January 3rd. We had to move out because of the damage and the toxicity of the black mold. Rosemary tried to deny culpability for the situation even when maintenance confirmed that was the cause. She then tried to repaint over the mold without paying for remediation and the maintenance man warned us she would try to do that first. Upon threat of legal action and negotiation, we were able to exit our lease early and get back January rent and our security deposit from the owner. However, because my roommates and I lived at different addresses following the move out, she refused to mail us each our portion of the payment even though we had all confirmed what the correct portions were. Then she became unresponsive and now we're forced to take her to small claims court. In summary, do not do business with this company under any circumstances!
