The aluminum siding and trim on storage building as well as the chain link fence were damaged by Michael (owner) of M&B Tree Service and Michael refused to pay for any damages. Michael was supposed to cut down an overgrown redtip bush (approx 40ft tall) that was next to a storage building and remove the roots of 5 red tip bushes and 2 crepe myrtle bushes. We expressed our concern about the redtip falling on the building. Michael said he was not worried because it would be very easy for him. When asked, he said he was insured. Due to the proximity of the roots to the chain link fence, he did he would most likely have the roots ground down. Instead of cutting down the red tip, he pulled it out of the ground using his Kubota skid steer, damaging the fence in the process. Instead of grinding down the remaining stumps, he pulled those out of the ground as well. At some point... either when he was pulling the tree out of the ground or when he was leveling the ground (filling in the ruts caused by his equipment), the aluminum siding on the storage building was sliced in two places and bent in a few other places. There was also a slice in the aluminum trim. Michael did the work Saturday morning. On Monday afternoon we discovered the slices and called Michael. He asked what we wanted him to do and we told him we'd settle for him replacing the material on the storage building and that we'd fix the rest. He wanted an estimate for the material and repair. When called 2 days later with the information, Michael said that he should have never taken the job since the "tree" was so close to the building and that he would not pay for the damage to the building. He also said that he did not damage the fence... the "tree" did it when it was pulled up. If Michael agrees to pay for the damage to the building, I will gladly update my review.

This is the 2nd year I`ve used M & B Tree Service for trimming trees; last year a huge cedar tree & laurel hedge, this year sycamore trees. Once again they did an outstanding job of trimming, chipping & cleaning up. AND they went beyond the usual clean-up by scraping all the leaf pulp off the street & mulching my parking strip! The dispatcher is professional, the crew shows up when they say they will & their work is awesome. I will continue to call them for annual trimming.
