He managed to unlock the high security lock on my front door in minutes – and he didn’t leave the slightest damage on it. All this was done at half past midnight. Ok, just adding to the mountain of good reviews here... The lock on the door to my apartment was busted. So I tried to save some pennies by posting an ad on Craig's list a method that has worked really well for me to hire my cleaning lady and various handymen for simple jobs. Anyway, after sorting through like 50 replies to the ad, which quoted me prices varying form $100 to $300, I chose some guy who said that he installs locks in hotels for a living for $100 who of course turned out to not know what he was doing. He did put in a good effort, staying wiht the job for like 5 hours! But the door knob was basically hanging off the door the next day after using it twice. Anyway, a week later after calling a bunch of legit locksmiths who wanted $80 to even look at the lock, and who wouldn't commit to a firm price, I called Providence Star Locksmith who fixed the mess that was made for $80 in like a half hour.

I called Providence Star Locksmith today because I am moving out of an apartment and wanted to swap out the lock that I had installed for the one that was there when I moved in. Ben, the locksmith, showed up on time 5 min early actually and even taught me how to do it myself in the future. It was done quickly. Ben is very personable and as an added bonus, he's a total cutie!! In a nutshell, great service at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend them.

But within five minutes, I'd regained my composure well enough to do a quick search online. Providence Star Locksmith came out at the top of my list, so I called and spoke to possibly the most pleasant professional ever. Our locksmith was out at the time, but he set an appointment for a few hours later and even showed up a few minutes early. He was visibly competent and worked fast, all while keeping up a friendly conversation and explaining what he was doing. Even though it turned out we needed to replace the whole lock, the total price was still well within reach. He even accepted our credit card via an app on his iPhone. Highly recommended.

No one deserves all the praise, more than these guys from Providence Star Locksmith! The first time I called them up was to get my doors replaced. Support arrived right on schedule, the prices seemed reasonable, and the technician knew his job well. I’ve since called them up to rekey my locks after a bitter spat with my neighbors. I’ve also called them up to install an automatic lock on my garage door! Every time I’ve called them over, their pricing, timing, and the quality of services has consistently remained the best. Will I call them in the future? YEAH! And if you live in Providence, RI, I don’t think there’s any company that’s better than this! I called Providence Star Locksmith yesterday based on the glowing reviews I read on this site. The service and care were exemplary. I called them and in a matter of hours they had installed security locks on both of my steel fire doors at a good price. I don't normally write reviews, yet I feel compelled to write this - they are that good.

Caught an advert recently on TV for a voice-activated lock and ordered it right away. I had a thing for all things tech and I just couldn’t miss out on this one! It worked fine for a week but after that, there was a considerable drop in the performance, and the troubles kept mounting up day after day. I decided to call someone to take a look at the nearly useless $200 lock. After Jones from Providence Star Locksmith took a look, he confirmed my worst fear. The lock was of the worst quality and had I waited a little longer, I’d have either been locked out of my own home or would have returned to a burgled home. Jones was strictly against products advertized on telly. According to him, they are either fake or overpriced. Well, my two-hundred bucks were gone! Wish I’d received that piece of info earlier. Nevertheless, Jones got a new lock installed, a far better one at a modest price! From now on, I’m only relying on his advice for all things related to locks. Highly recommend Jones and his team from Providence Star Locksmith. Frankly, they’ve got great technicians onboard and are the BEST in Providence, RI!!!

After being tricked by the hardware store into getting cheap copy keys made, one week later one of the copy keys broke within the lock! It aggravated me beyond words! It was 9 pm then and I was worried there would be no one around for help, but clearly, I was worrying for nothing! I spoke to Jones from Providence Star Locksmith who assured me of prompt assistance. Sure enough, he got there within minutes and removed the pieces still lodged within the lock, careful not to damage anything in the process. He explained how the cheap materials used to make the key couldn’t withstand usage (Usage??? I’d barely used it for a week! ) That’ll teach me never to fall for cheap stuff again! Despite being late, Jones was nice enough to make new good-quality keys for me! Would recommend Providence Star Locksmith to all my friends, family, co-workers! Surely, they’re the best in Providence, RI! You should try them out!
