I called Washington DC Master Locksmith today because I am moving out of an apartment and wanted to swap out the lock that I had installed for the one that was there when I moved in. Ben, the locksmith, showed up on time 5 min early actually and even taught me how to do it myself in the future. It was done quickly. Ben is very personable and as an added bonus, he's a total cutie!! In a nutshell, great service at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend them.

Don’t know which is better, their services or the low rates at which they offer them.. My daughter ended up locking herself out of our home (for the umpteenth time) only last week. Service was great! I figured they might take hours to reach, since my home was located far from the heart of Washington. Nevertheless, a locksmith from Washington DC Master Locksmith turned up at my doorstep in twenty minutes. Eric worked entirely out of his mobile workshop, and managed to make the copy of keys I needed. I would, and have, recommend Washington DC Master Locksmith to anyone looking for a locksmith. Shon come the day after my inquiry to change our lock. He was very knowledgeable, giving us an overview on what the existing lock was like, etc. He even recommended a cheaper service that what I initially called him for after looking at our lock. Service was very quick, and he left everything clean and tidied up. Didn't rush us through or seem hurried, chatted with us throughout the entire install, even recommending a couple of great pizza spots in our neighborhood. It felt great working with someone who was friendly and didn't try to cheap us out of our money!

Ok, just adding to the mountain of good reviews here... The lock on the door to my apartment was busted. So I tried to save some pennies by posting an ad on Craig's list a method that has worked really well for me to hire my cleaning lady and various handymen for simple jobs. Anyway, after sorting through like 50 replies to the ad, which quoted me prices varying form $100 to $300, I chose some guy who said that he installs locks in hotels for a living for $100 who of course turned out to not know what he was doing.
