Services didn’t come off as expensive as some of the other locksmiths in Washington, DC. In fact, I only paid up half of what others would have charged me for a lock and handleset installation. After calling a dozen different locksmiths in Washington, DC , I was giving up hope that I would find a place that would install a lock at a reasonable price. Enter Washington DC General Locksmith. I found this place online and boy is there a reason for all those 5 star reviews. From the second I was on the phone with Tommy I had nothing but a great experience. Tommy was supremely friendly and answered all my questions with nothing but the utmost patience. Best part? He was able to come to my apartment the same day and only gave me an hour's timeframe (unlike every other company in Washington, DC that tells you you have to wait around all day only to never show up). Tommy arrived at the top of that hour's timeframe and did the job in less than 10 minutes, even offering to sweep up after the job was done. He was very professional and so nice that I have no doubt I'll only call Washington DC General Locksmith if I ever need help with a lockout or any other lock related problem!

Washington DC General Locksmith was great! I called him in the morning and he was able to come to our location the same day to help us. We have had a broken door knob for months and a terrible Super that keeps "fixing" it. After my fifth time that the doorknob fell out, I decided to contact Danny after all his great reviews online. And he lived up to them all! Upon calling him, he asked me to send him a picture of the doorknob, explaining that many of the doorknobs in Washington, DC are old and he may not have the right parts for them (very true). He advised me that if he didn't think he could fix it he would refer us to someone else in the area. I found this to be very honest and helpful. Luckily, he was able to help us! He was thorough, professional, and fast and very reasonably priced. I would use him again and recommended him to anyone in need of a locksmith.

Hands down the best in Washington, DC! Right from the dispatcher to Gary, the locksmith who arrived at my place, the guys at Washington DC General Locksmith are awesome. When I lamented about how I’d been tricked into getting my perfectly good locks with new, low-grade ones, Gary confirmed that it was a common practice employed by most scamsters. They trick you into believing you need something when you don’t and charge an exorbitant sum for work that isn’t worth the price. Thankfully, I still had the old locks with me and Gary had them rekeyed and refitted.
