With its own senior citizens bus stop and a trolley service, Hickory Square Assisted Living is only minutes away from Walmart, Kaufman County Senior Citizens Center, Presbyterian Hospital, and Tanger Outlet Center. Hickory Square’s quiet and secure grounds are located within one square city block. The grounds include many trees, a fenced park with a gazebo and swing, free parking, and a porch area for cookouts and other social gatherings. There are 60 beds available for residents and the rooms come in various sizes and plans, all with bathrooms and some with sitting rooms. Most of the employees have been employed with the assisted living facility since it opened, assisting residents with the tasks of daily living and providing opportunities for socializing.
