Do NOT use this business!! We have used Elkour for our landscaping including mulch, etc. we have spent over $14,000. In the most recent contract, it was stated that weed removal was included, which never occurred. The owner Zak was contacted and he said he didn't have enough manpower in order to provide the service and would be rendering a refund of $390. This never occurred and it has been 6 weeks. He informed us that he has "bigger fish to fry" than to drive over with a refund. We asked if he would simply place a check in the mail and he refused. Now he will not respond to any requests for this refund. This company has been terrible to work with! They are extremely unreliable, they come at late hours in the evening and even placed mulch down that had horse manure in it. This served as a fertilizer and we were stuck with tons of weeds as a result. It would be my suggestion to anyone looking for a landscaping company, that they look elsewhere! This was the most recent text from Zak after reading my review "No problem trust me I've seen a lot worse and now you guys f**cked yourself on your refund. Make sure you put that on a review to that. The business owner said that we f**cked ourselves. Make sure you use that word f**k OK"

In May I paid $740 cash (upfront) for 13 weekly lawn cutting/weed services. Elkour only cut our lawn a few times during the first 6 weeks. After missing the first cut, I explained that we have a strict HOA, so our lawn must be cut every week and if he couldn't keep up, we'd have to go with someone else. He assured me there would be no issue moving forward. Unfortunately, it continued to be an issue, and everything came to a head in mid-June when they failed to cut our lawn once again. The day after our scheduled cut, I reached out to Elkour to notify that he breached our contract, and we had no choice but to hire a new lawn service. I also requested that the remaining retainer fee ($590) be refunded. He became combative, insisted our lawn had been cut (the day prior) and he personally logged it in his book. I informed him that we work from home and did not see him, or his crew cut our grass and that our surveillance corroborated that fact. I also documented our overgrown yard with a real-time photo and sent it to him. His response was that he needed to discuss this with his CPA, which in my opinion was odd. I texted him a few weeks later to follow up on my refund and his response was incoherent and confrontational. Instead of accepting responsibility and agreeing to the refund, he referred us to his civil attorney & CPA. When I requested their contact information, he responded with "good luck".

I'd love to give this business ZERO stars! Do not hire this Company!!! My Grandmother hired them at the beginning of June to cut her lawn weekly & trim weeds every other week, paid in full & got a copy of the contract. Its now almost the end of August & he has come THREE times! The 3rd time he only came after I posted a bad Review & he contacted me after 11 PM & Midnight on a weekday to resolve the matter. He gave my Grandmother a bunch of excuses & said there was a misunderstanding & asked me to remove the review. Well now after looking into this company I see my Grandma isn't the only person he has done this to. It seems to be a recurring issue with this Company, they take your money and want to be paid in advance but don't do the work. All my bad Reviews I have left on different sites are staying, no more excuses Zak. You run a shady business & take advantage of people!!!! You need to be shut down!

I have had Elkour Lawn Service since 2012 and Zak has always been responsive to any minor issue that has popped up. I sign up for the every other week lawn mowing and fall clean ups. I have a large number of trees on my lot and all of the leaf's are taken care of in a timely fashion. He has also taken down 2 100 year old pine trees that were dying without any issues.
