Summary: The book is about a Deer, named Tony. The first part of the book deals with deer in a meadow, his time spent with his herd and mother and father and the advice his father gives him. This idyllic life ends in the middle of the first chapter, "Depend on yourself. Trust only friends. Without the protection of the herd, you'll be in great danger. Never venture far from home, and some animals are not friends!" By Liberty Dendron One of the most common problems with most literature on the Caribbean is that it is limited to islands and, despite a common history, does not include the West Indian communities on the mainland of Central and South America. Moreover, on those occasions when the entire region receives the attention of a scholar, the product is often from the perspective of the British Caribbean and makes no attempt to understand Hispanic influences.
