I would definitely recommend Nancy Thorner. She is very professional and very experienced. She has a lot of strategies and has been very flexible about changing things up quickly when things aren't working during sessions with my son. She has a good sense of what is behind my son's language delays and is teaching him not only to speak better, but to pay attention and comprehend better.

Our five year old son has moderate verbal apraxia. He has received speech through the local school system from the age of three but has made tremendous progress in the last 9 months since starting at EarlySpeak. During his initial testing with Nancy he had over 40 different sound errors. Last month that was down to 11 . While he still needs speech therapy he is much easier to understand and now loves to talk. He is very social at preschool and loves to tell everyone about his weekends. This is a huge improvement from last year. It's wonderful to see our son who used to not want to talk not want to stop. Nancy has always taken time to listen to our concerns and tailor homework towards our sons needs. Using worksheets, games, and computer apps to keep him motivated. I believe he would not have made the progress he has in the last year without the interventions he has received at EarlySpeak.

I highly and enthusiastically recommend Nancy Thorner. Ms. Thorner provided speech therapy to both my boys, ages 4 and 7, one for speech disfluency and the other for pronunciation of the letter "r". They have both successfully completed their therapy and we are so pleased with the results. Neither child shows any sign of their previous speech problem. Ms. Thorner knew exactly what steps to take to remedy their speech issues. She made the various therapy tasks fun, and both boys would very much look forward to seeing her each week. In fact, many months after completing their therapy, the boys still ask to see "Miss Nancy"!
