Coby Candle has been a dream in the works since Summer of 2012. It had marked a year since the passing of my father, Jacoby, and I found myself in a desperate need of enlightenment. I knew I needed to start my life, find a career, and start it soon. As I had just graduated high school, many other opportunities waited to be pursued, but I knew there was only one thing I wanted to. I wanted to create! I wanted to let my imagination run wild, and let the people around me enjoy it as well. The craft queen I've always been came out of her shell, and I was ready to make a future out of it! I remember growing up my dad always told me that I was "going to do big things" in life. He'd continue to say "Find your skill and run with it. Never look back. Only stop when you know you've done everything you always dreamed you would". All I thought about was living up to his expectations. I knew that if I was going to take my creativity and build a career out of it, I was going to have to make it count. As I lay in bed one night, like a bolt of lightning, the idea struck! Maybe, just maybe, I could recreate that flame of passion my father always had in his heart, in a candle.
