Please read before proceeding with any business with Hisey company. He was supposed to build a water pond on our ranch and took a 53k downpayment, and soon, it will be two years, and he did not start the project. We contacted him several times, and he responded, "I will start soon; give me some time," and sweet talk to you. I searched his business online, and this is his pattern. I filed a case with the Texas attorney general; this person is a felon and should not be allowed to do business. Please file a consumer complaint with the attorney general. I've contracted the Hisey Company on two occasions for tree trimming and a large tree removal. Their prices are very competitive and they do excellent work. On the large tree removal, a fence was damaged which they fixed in parallel with completing the removal. Job well done.

The Hisey Company did an excellent job on our project. The company operation was incredible, the efficiency of every aspect from first contact with a rep, someone calling to schedule a appointment within hours, meeting the very next day to receive a outline of work to be done. The gentlemen was able to provide me immediately with a digital copy of my work order as well as verify insurance and workers comp . All of the work to be completed was out<a href="Javascript:void(0);" class="showMoreLink"> Show More</a><span class="hiddenText" style="display: none;">lined digitally with picture discriptions. Within one hour from the time I authorized the work I was contacted to schedule work completion, which was then scheduled the very next morning. After the work was completed, the crew leader was very thorough to ensure all of the work was completed to my understanding of the work order. He was then able to even received my payment with a credit card, again immediately provided with a digital receipt of my payment to my email. The last company I used took a week to get me a copy of my estimate, of which I chose only because he did and none of the others even returned my calls. I wouldn't hesitate to call this company again for any reason.</span>

THIS COMPANY IS AWESOME!... Someone came and knocked on my door asking if I wanted to have someone look at my trees. This happens all the time in my neighborhood, probably more than a few times a month. I've had a lot of "companies" come by and give me estimates. All seeming to be a little shady, being verbal estimates only, nothing in writing like a handshake only kind of deal. These guys came out and filled out a digital order with pictures and descriptions of what needed to be done to each tree. On top of that, they were cheaper than most of the estimates. I really liked that the staff showed concern for the health of my trees, not just trying to sell me some trimming. I hired them to trim all of the trees around my property. 132 Live Oaks to be exact, they made all of the trees look amazing! These guys took care of me, from the first person to the crew.....excellent work!!!!!

I was cautious at first in hiring these guys because they came to my door, however I was very surprised by the professionalism of their entire operation. In my experience most "companies" who do this kind of work (Tree Care) are a couple of guys who seem to only trim what they can from the ground. I've hired others before and had a bad experience every time. The person came to my door and asked my wife if we would like to get an estimate as they had a person coming into our neighborhood the next day to meet with people. My wife knowing of previous experiences with this type service was cautious in making any commitments. She got a card and told the young man that we would get back with them. Later when I got home I researched the company and found that they had been in business for several years, in reading the reviews I found that like every other company....they had bad reviews. This really didn't bother me as I find that most reviews are negative, because people don't go out of their way to write a positive review. I figured they had to make a lot of people happy in four years to get negative ones. Plus I found all of the negative reviews seemed humorously exaggerated. I used them in spite of these reviews and I am happy with the service that I received.

Update 8/27/14: Brian Hisey has kept his promise to offer me free tree trimming service for as long as I stay in my current home. I find this commendable. I would be happy to refer my friends to Hisey Company despite my first experience with them. Hisey Company cares for customer experience over the long haul, and that counts! Update (11/6/13): The owner, Brian met with me and offered to complete the contracted work, and throw in some freebies. And to make me whole on the loss of the large cedar elm, he offered to plant 4 crape myrtles at no charge. This is a company that takes customer™ reviews, BBB complaints seriously - that is commendable My first experience: I would recommend NOT using this company for tree-trimming service. On the 5th of July, 2013 I hired the Hisey Company to perform tree trimming service for my home. I did not get a chance to do a closing walk-through with the work crew that evening, but see that the work was not completed per the work request/contract. Furthermore, the crew mistakenly cut down a healthy, 14-inch caliper, 25-foot canopy, 30-yr old cedar elm tree - they have now left an unsightly 12-foot stump standing in my backyard. I asked Matthew Hisey (co-owner of the business) to plant a replacement tree (or a few smaller 5-inch caliper trees if it is easier, cheaper) in my backyard, but he has not confirmed. Despite two followup emails to him since we spoke, he has not indicated when his crew would complete the work per the contract, nor responded with any offer for settlement for the chopped tree. Tree-trimming service professionals should honor contracts. And they should make customers whole when mistakes happen. The Hisey Company did neither. Stay away from the Hisey Company!

Matthew & Brian Hisey owners of Hisey Company (originally from the small town of Kerrville, TX) should not be in business. They take advantage of their employees and their customers. They only pay their employees when it's convenient for them and generally when their employees have reached a point where they are facing eviction or having utilities shut off. Numerous employees have been severely injured on the job and they refused to pay their medical bills. They 'pay what they can' rather than what is owed to their employees, illegally deduct time from their hours worked and never pay their final paycheck. Is this really the type of company you want to spend your hard earned money with?

Wonderful service, all the staff was helpful and worked none stop. Always asking if we/I was happy with the work, making sure that I understood the work order. Once the work was completed, they walked around with me again and made sure that I was happy with the work. They wouldn't even take my check until I walked around with them to make sure that everything was finished and I was happy. Great job guys, I will def use your company from now on!
