Dead-of-winter detailing of interior of Honda Pilot to get rid of spilled milk smell.
One of my family members spilled a large quantity of milk on the passenger floor of my Honda Pilot. The person would not admit having done it, and we didn't see it happen. So we all argued for a while over whether it was spilled milk or a dead critter in the engine. Took it to the Honda dealership to get the "dead critter" out, and they said it was a wicked milk spill. They suggested we go to Honda detailing, where they'd remove the carpet, clean it, and hang it out to dry for a few days. That sounded incredibly expensive, and I didn't want to do without my car for several days.
I contacted AMD through Angie's List. Sebastian contacted me promptly via phone, and we later chatted via text message for confirmations, etc. It was the dead of winter -- during the Polar Vortex, I believe -- and I don't have a heated garage that would have allowed for successful shampooing. So even though Sebastian does mobile "come to you" work, he arranged for a heated place nearby that I could bring my Pilot for him to work on. He spent a couple of hours really working my car over. It was SO pretty when he finished!
A hint of the milk smell came back about a week later, and when I contacted Sebastian, he had me come back for a repeat shampooing (using a different method) for free.
