My high school student has been taking lessons with John for 2 years and comes out of each lesson with a smile on his face. John is also very flexible with scheduling around my son's activities, like marching band, etc. John is a professional trumpet player who is a great teacher and a nice guy.

John is truly an amazing teacher. He blends just the perfect amount of fun, persuasion, and challenge. My son actually looks forward to seeing John each week and working with him to acheive the next level of success. And when it is reached, both teacher and student are delighted -- and so is my sons band instructor. We have been fortunate to have John as our sons teacher for about 4 years now, and look forward to continuing for several more as he helps my son build a lifetime of good habits and great appreciation of music.

My daughter Kenna had lessons with Mr. King... and the experience was wonderful. He has a knack for being able to communicate the more complicated subjects on a level that children can understand. Kenna had a great time learning with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. King for any sort of musical education.

As a returning musician to the trumpet I was looking for some advice on technical matters on youtube. I saw a great video featuring John and decided to email him some questions. John quickly replied with a freindly response and gave me some great suggestions. I live in Los Angeles but hopefully one day I can travel to take some lessons at his studio. Thanks for the info John!

My son has taken lessons from John King for about 2 years. He is an incredible teacher. His attention to "perfection" is what makes him unique among teachers. He desires for his students to breathe well, play well, and read music well. His instruction prepares the musician for playing extended periods of time, rather than just learning a new song. We would and have recommended him to many friends.
