For a good part of my life I was enslaved to addiction. I was full of fear, irritability, and discontent about myself and my life. I came to New Life sober living in September of 2011 and my life has changed dramatically from my experience there. I was welcomed in to this brotherhood of guys that were there to help me and guide me in my Recovery. Today I have a life I couldn’t have dreamed of until now. through a decade of substance and riotous living i found myself labelled an alcoholic of the hopeless variety. I reserved myself to go down without a fight and became completely content on the idea of dying miserable. at this point i committed myself to a rehabilitation center in the hopes that i could at the least wake up not sick for a few days. i had no intention to stop running on self relience and wanted nothing to do with the concept of god. toward the end of my stay an after care plan was assembled and i was to follow its guidelines. It was at this time that A New Life was first suggested to me. having nowhere else to go i accepted the invitation. This was the junction of true sobriety. Through the structure and fellowship offered by the men in this program i have turned my will and life over to god and experienced freedom and happiness. Nowhere else have i felt love and compassion such as what id offered here in these houses. i have made real friends and obtained a solution to the drinking problem. From the ashes where i once dwelled,.a spark set in motion A NEW LIFE in which i live, move, and be.

I felt like I was lost, everything I ever hoped for and dreamed of doing was crushed by my alcoholism and a progressive decline. I found amazing fellowship through New Life and made some real awesome changes. Today I am living a life beyond my wildest dreams because I decided to start taking some real easy suggestions. I have my family back, Im doing what I love. Life is good... A New Life, Chris D, and all my brothers in the rooms of AA have made this journey incredible. Now I am able to make a difference in others' lives. It was all well worth it. 6 months ago my life was hopeless and I was desperate. I had exhausted every avenue known to me. I had come to a jumping off point, there was no end in sight. The solution I used for so many years was no longer working. There was nowhere to go. A New Life welcomed me in with open arms and accepted me when no one else would. Never in my life did I imagine that I could be happy, but that’s exactaly what the New Life family has shown me. They showed me that I didn’t have to live the way I had for so many years. They gave me hope. They showed me how important it is to help others and introduced me to a new solution, the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Because of A New Life, God, and the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous my life today is beyond my wildest dreams. There is true happiness where there was nothing but hopelessness. There is respect for myself and others daily. I am able to be a mother to my children, a good friend to so many people, a daughter, a sister, and so much more. I’m am so truly grateful to Chris & everyone involved with A New Life sober living for giving me the amazing opportunity to turn my life around.

I Came to New Life sober Living In October of 2011.when my life was so turned upside down. since then my life has done a 180 degree in the right direction. when I first heard about comming here my thoughts where "No Way" .....no way I would Leave my home. when I really thought about it I realised I had nothing at home. no friends and a family that was so disapointed at me all the time and the shame of being a alcoholic. At New Life my new greatest friends I have ever had became my biggest part of my life. guys I call my brothers. They have had advice, been there though the hard times, and the Greatest times. We laugh together, cry together, and make things happen! Just about 1 year later I still feel That I do not want to leave. Thank You to Chris D. You have been there to make my life happen and all the New Life Family.....I LOVE YOU.

I came out of rehab hopeless and living a life completely unmanageable and entirely fear based. And New Life and Chris Dreisbach took me in. My experience here has been nothing short of amazing and God filled. The amount of support in these houses is tremendous, it is the perfect place to build a solid support network and get introduce into A.A. Alcoholics Anonymous and a relationship with God saved my life. New Life gave me a family, and quite honestly, a new life beyond my wildest dreams. And now I want nothing more than to give back to A New Life and A.A. There is always hope.

A New Life has provided me with the opprotunity to discover the miracles of life. When I came to the house, I was at a spiritul bottom that seemed inescapable. I half-heartly gave sobriety a shot after my first treatment when I went right back to the environment that I came from. With no support or the tools needed to stay sober, I quickly found myself back in treatment a month later. After my second stint in treatment, I reluctantly accepted to come to New Life. Shorty after entering the house and getting involved in the program, the pain started to dissipate and the miracles began to be revealed to me. Even when I would slip and fall, Chris, the staff and my housemates were right there by my side to lift me right back up. I have never laughed so hard in my life or felt the joys that life has to offer. Without this stepping stone of sobriety I would still be lost in the sea of misery that is addiction. If you had any reservations about living at New Life or any recover house, please give this a chance so you to can discover the happiness and gratitude that has been afforded to me.

A new life sober living has given me a new outlook on life and has given me a chance to be happy again. I am proud to call Chris D and Mike H my good friends today. They have helped me so much and they go above and beyond there duties to help me and many others I know. Without a new life sober living I would most likely be dead today. Words cannot describe how I feel about these houses all I can say it that I truely love a new life and I am so grateful for being placed in this position in my life with them!
