Mental Health services in Central Wisconsin for children, adolescents, adults, couples, groups, and families Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. EAP is a powerful, effective therapeutic approach with an incredible impact on participants. As an EAGALA model program: We have a strong code of ethics, we are solution-focused and believe that each individual has their own solutions within them. We use a team approach (patients, therapist, equine specialist, horses) and all of the work we do is on the ground. Participants relate with the horses. Engaging with the horses allows clients to explore how they develop trust, manage anxiety, and deal with uncertainty. Clients often move quickly and dramatically through the equine therapy process and experience changes in their relationships and their everyday responses to challenges.
