Affiliate advertising. Advertising for skilled workers. If your a custom builder or skilled worker you will be interested in me as your advertiser. I have been advertising since 2012. After reviewing and researching I discovered what I do is affiliate advertising. 10 years ago, my son approached me, and told me he realized I was advertising for him to work side jobs as a carpenter, but I needed to expand and advertise for others like him that had a special skill and charge a finder’s fee. At the time I decided since I had adopted 3 little boys it was a good idea because I had to stop working as a CNA at a hospital to start raising them. I started posting ads that I would advertise in any location on Craigslist, Back Pages and Facebook for carpenters and skilled workers. I continued advertising for many years in Texas, California, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and Texas. I started with a finder’s fee. My business was growing on trust with the skilled workers. I charged them a 10% fee for every job lead that led to a job. They could ad my fee to the quote and when the customers paid them, they would pay me. Once I was paid, I would provide them a few more leads in their area. They provided pictures of their work painting, custom building, staircases, carpentry, any skill set they had that they needed to make money. I made the ads in their location, posted pictures of their work, and directed all job leads to come to me so I could contact the skilled worker. A few years ago, I stopped advertising due to an accident and rolling my sons truck leaving him to venture into a new career. I decided I wasn't making enough to continue advertising without my main customer or reason for advertising. Last week I watched a video on affiliate advertising and I'm back again with a new name, new goals, and new areas to advertise. With a website I will soon have up and running I will still offer to advertise for skilled labors, as that is my passion, but with a different insight and approach. Of course, the website will provide opportunities for the skilled workers to provide pictures of their work and location. However, instead of a finder’s fee I will charge them a low monthly amount to do their advertising.
