This organization, while only being around for 2 years, has made a difference in so many kids in this community. What makes this program unique is that the focus is not just on being a great football player or cheerleader, it's on being a great person and community member. Upper Cape Spartans offers a family atmosphere that is like no other. Families come to practice and stay at practice. Families come for their child's game and stay for all the others. Children become more confident in the short season. Coaches follow their kids academic progress and stress the importance of that. In my own family, I watched my son develop into an amazing leader on and off the field. I watched my painfully shy daughter, cheer her heart out every Sunday in front of a crowd full of strangers and love every second of it. To say my home is full of Spartan pride would be an understatement. The season just ended and we are already excited about what the 2015 season will bring!
