Having to fight for ownership of Moo, Regan cultivated her perseverance, which was powered by her newly found independence in knowing what she wanted. Empowerment was gained on many levels with the help of Moo, including understanding passion, how it drives one and what it can accomplish, in Moo's case transforming a very scared (of everything including her own shadow), neglected puppy into an outgoing, trusting, loving girl.
