DON'T BE FOOLED By giving Dusty Franklin a check, Go to Heartland Horseshoeing school and get a real education, I was Dusty's second student, he made promises I would leave his school one of the best farriers being able to make hand made shoes on the spot at any customer I was called to, little did I know he had a horrible temper, was a good farrier but horrible teacher, no patients, lied about what I would be receiving, and refused to return $5,000 after kicking me out of school, for saying if the instruction is over what the hell am I doing here. So much more to the story but he knocked on my door the next morning and said I'm kicking you out of school, I replied are you serious, after all the promises you made to me, and wouldn't help me last night, I said Dusty it doesn't have to be like this, I was frustrated last night yes because you wouldn't help me and I couldn't see in the barn with no light, and you just walked away, but then says I already threw all your gear out of the shop, my anvil, forge, all my tools and tool boxes everything was thrown all over, I thought he was Joking actually until I walked out there and saw everything thrown everywhere, who acts like that, a big baby is the answer, refused to return half my money as we were almost half way through school but said because I spent so many hour after school in the shop and on weekends working on forging that counted as school hours and in the state of Oklahoma your allowed to kick out a student after they completed half the school for no reason, and not return there money, probably bullshit but I'm not the one to sue people anyway but just couldn't believe his childish behavior, we had no issues prior I was always super eager to learn, attentive, he was sending me out alone to do his jobs and bring a check back for him to cash, I thought that was a little odd, but went with it. All I can say is this was my second school, had absolutely no issues and completed the prior six month school, I just wanted to be the best and was originally signed up for Heartland Horseshoeing school, but a friend who I use to ride with All Agnew, said I would learn so much and get so much one on one, little did I know later I found out he was the one who financed the school.
I didn't make a scene, I didn't get mad just walked away but will say he's lucky I didn't beat him to a pulp as he truly is a little cry baby as far as I'm concerned.
Promised me 6 days a week of instruction but started flying off on the weekends leaving us there alone kinda like what do we do today, so needless to say I ended up being a great forger, I was already a good farrier before I came this place, this was supposed to be an advanced class and made a huge mistake by not continuing to heartland Horseshoeing as I was signed up there but All Agnew convinced me to stop by and check the place out, I just had no idea Dusty was a hot tempered little cry baby, the instruction just wasn't there and I promise anyone that reads this review I'm the most Honest person, great with horses, feel free to write me I will give you all the references you could possibly want, all I want is someone interested in the trade to get a good education and not get ripped off. I could see if I was a trouble maker or something like that, Dusty just wasn't up to the task of teaching someone that wanted to learn so badly, I honestly feel that's why he couldn't take it, just to tired, old and hot headed with an attitude thinking he was better than anyone else, Dusty you proved your far from it.
