Sans Souci Art Gallery is an independent studio gallery in Markham, Ontario, showing the original work of Sergei Troshin, a self-taught painter based in Thornhill. The paintings are built in layers from acrylic, natural pigments, resin, wax paste, collage, gold leaf and diamond dust on canvas, board and wood, so the surface changes as the light moves across it. The catalogue also includes hand-painted furniture and home accents. Sixty-one works are catalogued. Every piece is one of a kind, is never reproduced as a print or an edition, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. Viewings are by appointment. Commissions are accepted, and finished work is delivered across Canada and internationally.
