SBR was founded in 2009. The company's work force have gained their experience from working on high performance cars starting in 1996, working for London's largest sports car dealer at that time. Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati were the main manufactures concentrated there, with Motorsport involvement in the form of TVR Tuscan championship, Lotus and the Ferrari Challenge series.
Experience with early Ferrari vehicles was gained from working with DK Engineering, a globally respected Ferrari specialist. SBR's owner, Stuart Bitmead, also managed the workshops at Eurosportscars, the Pagani Zonda importer at that time. Stuart and his team have been entrusted with servicing, restoration and Motorsport preparation with some very important vehicles, ranging from 1950's Ferrari racers to modern day Le Mans GT cars.
