Explain and educate permit holders on plumbing and piping code requirements when there is non-compliance. Prepare and maintain written and electronic records of inspections, corrections and approvals. Interpret applicable codes, laws, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to plumbing and piping installations with a perspective on public health and safety. Determine if a code violation has occurred; post plumbing and piping ordinance violation notices and coordinate with supervisor. Attend applicable meetings and seminars to maintain knowledge and skill levels consistent with changes in the industry and governing regulations, and to maintain required MI 1986 PA54 certification.
