At the age of 22 I suffered a great loss that changed my entire outlook on life, on April 26th, 2006 I received a frantic phone call from my sister telling me that my mother's heart stopped beating and that she was being rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately after sitting in the ICU waiting room the doctor and Chaplin notified my family that my mother died.
In 2011 studies showed that 1.5 million heart attacks occur in the United States each year with 500,000 deaths. A heart attack occurs about every 20 seconds with a heart attack death about every minute. My mother ate clean, exercised daily, and maintained a healthy BMI and that was not enough, she passed away at the age of 46.
Her death shattered my world and I vowed to become healthy so I can be here for my 2 beautiful daughters and my husband. To ease my grief I focused on my research for herbal remedies to help me and my overweight father become healthy but I put my plans on hold because in 2007, and 2009 we introduced
