The Tarahumara are the native people who inhabit the Copper Canyon region of Chihuahua mexico. The art of basket weaving is a tradition that has been passed down from mother to daughter for over 300 years. Using organic materials that are available throughout the canyons, these beautiful baskets are woven from Apache Pine needles, split sotol leaves and palmetta fronds. Jim and Katie Harrelson, owners and operators, travel down to The Copper Canyon and buy directly from the Tarahumara women.
