B&B Drywall and Construction was established by owners, Buddy and Melodie Cast. Together, with the vision of one day developing a home built around special needs children, they began a journey with many harmonious moments. In 1991, Buddy Cast discovered his talent while working with friend and mentor, James Dick. Together, with a crew of skilled contractors, they built a quad housing unit for Southern Illinois University students in Carbondale, Illinois. In 1998, Mr. Cast joined Richard Carlson Construction to expand on his experience. With Carlson Construction, he not only learned the steps which are taken to building stunning million dollar log homes, but also the care put into a family built home. Finally, in 2003, Buddy was encouraged to step out on his own, taking his talents and applying them to his own business. There have been times that B&B Drywall and Construction did not have jobs to complete, but there have been others in which our calendar has been booked solid over a few months. The precision and perfection in which it takes to performing the latter stages of a new construction is what drew Mr. Cast to drywall finishing. He enjoys concentrating on the final aspects of his job such as; flooring, stairs and balusters, drywall finishing, painting, and trim.
