Our mission is to build and facilitate a community of like-minded artists who are dedicated to the exchange of creative ideas, to expanding their knowledge and to enriching one anothers lives in an educational and engaging environment. Located in N. Berkeley, our studio offers 1800 sq. ft. of indoor rental space and 900 sq. ft. of private outdoor space. The indoor space has 12 ft. ceilings, clean white walls, and two spacious studios…both included in the studio rental price. The space is large enough to accommodate a wide array of creative projects that so far have encompassed a vast variety from vegan cooking classes to tango lessons. Our studio furniture can be reconfigured to adapt to your event. The Lighthouse is available for rent in 2 hr increments, 4 hr (half day), or 8 hr (full day) bookings. We run workshops consistently throughout the month for photographers of all skill levels, with a wide variety of topics.

Ziba began in 1976 as a commercial photography studio and full service lab. We have developed portraiture, photo restoration, product and food photography as our areas of expertise. Ziba has since become one of the very few commercial photo studios to make the transition from film to digital imaging. Our photography department offers food photography as well as menu or cookbook publications. Our fully equipped kitchen studio is available for production with your own cooking staff or with ours. We can design and make a short run cookbook from your recipes at a reasonable price. Our printing departments can make a wide variety of products from business cards to booklets and postcards to large format prints and banners.
