Federal Government regulations require that almost all packaged foods products have nutrition labeling--Nutrition Facts, Ingredients, and Allergens. Similarily, recent additions to the regulations will require nutrition labeling for the menu selec-tions at many restaurants and food service outlets. The primary activity of my business is developing the needed nutrition labeling. It is done using recipe information coupled with a computer data base of the nutrition analysis of food ingredients. Closely related, is insuring that nutrient claims on food packaging conform to federal Food and Drug Administration regulations, which are often very specific. I have a B.S. in Dairy Technology, an M.S. in Food Science, and am a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly known as the American Dietetic Associaton). Besides nutrition labeling I prepare nutrition related marketing materials and offer assistance in formulating healthful foods.
