I've attended the Annual IRS Tax Forums for the past 20 years. These forums are designed to give the attendees updated information on the tax changes for the upcoming year and a review of regulations still in affect. This year the Forums are being offered online at my computer desk. I use in my opinion the best Tax Program (Pro Series) on the market today. They offer an excellent support team that are there to answer any tax questions and assist in any problems with your tax program. There are unique situations that the Federal Government allows to be deducted from your paycheck that your State may not. The following are a few of these things: 401 K, 403 B, 414 H, and Sec 125 Cafeteria plans. I've the experience and knowledge to know these things. Many years ago, I found that a Fortune 500 insurance company located in Hartford Connecticut with offices in New Jersey was unaware that the State of New Jersey allowed 401 K contributions deducted from an employees paycheck was also allowed to be deducted from their New Jersey salaries. The company had made this error for more than 20 years, no other tax preparer had found this omission. In closing, I graduate from Pace College in New York City, with a B.B.A. - Major in Accounting, a Minor in Federal & State taxes, Finance and Business Law.
