We offer a full range of marine surveying, consulting, operating, and management services to boat owners and buyers. Owner, Zachary Newton, is a marine surveyor, captain, and boating instructor and is fully certified, licensed and insured in all fields. I'm a lifelong boater as well as boat owner and a committed professional devoted to the Marine Industry. I am an alumni of Chapman School of Seamanship where I completed their courses in Yacht and Small Craft Surveying, Damage and Claims Surveys, and Professional Mariner's Training. I am a "Surveyor Associate" in The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS®) and an ABYC marine technician, having been certified in Marine Standards and Marine Electrical. I have been a USCG licensed captain since the age of 18 and currently hold a 50 ton master's license with sailing and towing endorsements. In that time, I've logged 1,000's of miles both inland and offshore, captaining charters in Tennessee, off the East Coast, the Gulf Coast, the Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands. In college I began racing for the University of Tennessee Sailing Team and obtained the designation of Race Team Captain as well as my levels I, II &III Coach's certifications from US Sailing.
