Light for the Homeless started in the small town of Santa Paula,CA from a simple yet daring idea, " what if I could take the talents God has given me to make a low cost, reusable light from repurposed materials and provide those lights to the homeless or those in need, for free?" The idea came to me while attending bible study, around the same time period that multiple natural disasters had taken place. The idea may seem simple but the daunting and daring part was that I had no previous need, want or experience inventing anything....I worked for a bank.
