a Taste of the caribbean festival celebrate A June, 15th 2013the rich diversity of Birmingham's people through reggae and rock steady music. The reggae stage will present the spirit of a weekend of non-stop reggae music while maintaining its tie to Carribbean cultures. In the midst of the music and fun is an on-site Caribbean marketplace featuring authentic African garb, art, sculptures, fabric, hand-crafted jewelry, a Jamaican Jerk Chicken Cookoff , and a host of educational activities and other treasures from the island. Over the years, national reggae music recording artist like the Wailers, Shaggy, Lucky Dube, Maxi Priest, the Sterling Brothers Band, Bedu, Culture Dread band and many other bands have graced festival stages in Birmingham. Also we are perserving caribbean Culture.
