Welcome to Bayou Blue Recreation District 11! Serving the community of Houma, LA for more than 40 years, Bayou Blue Recreation is a Parish recreation facility, offering large indoor spaces for events, meetings, receptions, parties etc., as well as outdoor recreational facilities open to the public. Bayou Blue Recreation has 3 rooms ranging in size from 2500 square feet to 15000 square feet, and can accommodate just about any size group. Reserve the entire facility or just a room for your banquet, wedding, reception, shower, party, business meeting, or any other gathering. We also hold pageants, summer programs, baseball and softball leagues, and other community events. Evolution Training is home to some world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for both adults & kids. The instructor, Ernest "Waffle" Ellender, PhD, earned his black belt under David Camarillo in his Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu style. Dave Camarillo has trained many MMA (UFC and Strikeforce) fighters like Jon Fitch, Cain Velasquez, Josh Koscheck, Mike Swick, and many others. Evolution Training's CrossFit program combines both the CrossFit strength & conditioning program with some aspects of martial arts mixed in to offer members a twist on their fitness routine.
