Back in March of 2008, Danny Ives opened up the doors to Ivey League Mixed Martial Arts, the first gym of it's kind in the Annapolis area. Things have come a long way over the last 8+ years that's for sure. Ivey League MMA went from a small start up teaching Martial Arts inside a gymnastics center, with less than 20 students to having a state of the art 9,000 square foot facility and over 300 students! The reason people love training at Ivey League is simple. We care about our students and only want the best for them. Ivey League Members learn realistic martial arts in a clean, ego-free, and friendly environment. And unlike most MMA Schools, we use a proven training system to teach the classes. Our step-by-step technique curriculum takes new students from A to B to C, which helps make learning so much easier, especially for a beginner. Our style of MMA combines the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Kickboxing, Judo, Boxing, and Wrestling. These are the main styles used by high level Fighters in events like The UFC and Bellator. The goal is to develop well rounded students who can defend themselves both standing and on the ground.
