Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS) provides advanced specialized care for animals, collaborating with veterinarians throughout the St. Louis area, and beyond. VSS was founded in 1994 by Dr. Gorse DVM, MS, DACVS. In 1996 Dr. Anderson DVM, MS, DACVS joined as a partner to help grow the surgical referral practice. VSS has now grown to include multiple specialties in 7 disciplines including cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, radiology and surgery and continues to be a highly-regarded as an essential resource for pets in our community. In 2008, VSS opened an after-hours emergency practice providing pet owners and distressed animals urgent care.
