I support and run a small sanctuary for abused and elderly Chihuahuas by making custom made animal clothing, beds, etc.and through donations from wonderful people. The animals I take are the ones left behind when someone passes on or come from abuse situations. Examples: having boiling water poured on them as puppies, or kicked in the head with a broken jaw and missing eye. WHY? for peeing on the floor as a 8 week old puppy. A female allowed to become preg. couldn't have the puppies so was dumped over my fence in the dead of night with the temp. at 15 degrees last winter. I do adopt out the younger dogs that are capable of fitting in a home but keep the others for life.
