Carol Francois, L.Ac. has been studying Chinese Medicine and Holistic Health since 1980. Although she specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic pain, Carol also treats a wide variety of conditions including but not limited to: women's health issues, digestive disorders, asthma, allergies, and stress related problems. Her training in Chinese Medicine was more traditional nature in that she apprenticed for many years under one teacher, Dr. Angela C. Wu, L.Ac., O.M.D. (www.wushealingcenter.com) while attending classes at the San Francisco College of Acupuncture. Since 2001, Carol has been practicing a style of acupuncture known as, “Master Tung's Magic Points” (www.tungspoints.com) which is renowned for it's quick results using only a few needles.

Alexandra Kennedy, MA is a psychotherapist in private practice since 1976 and author of Losing a Parent (HarperCollins, 1991) and The Infinite Thread: Healing Relationships Beyond Loss (Beyond Words, April 2001), Offerings at the Edge (iUniverse 2007), and How Did I Miss All This Before? Waking Up to the Magic of Our Ordinary Lives (iUniverse, 2010). She was stunned by the power of her grief when her father was diagnosed with cancer in November 1988-even though she had been a psychotherapist for fourteen years and had attended death and dying workshops with Stephen Levine. Her father died three months later.
